A month ago, MakerBot showed his brilliant Replicator 2. This 3D-printer, one of those of which we wrote a year . Yesterday at CES CEO Bre Pettis (Bre Pettis) shows Replicator 2X, updated version of the 3D-printer, which was recognized as the best invention of the year by the magazine Time. The new version is designed for the more experimental use and for more advanced users.

2X has two heads for printing more complex objects. While two Replicator uses filaments PLA, 2X - like the original Replicator - works with ABS, so please even test pilots. Printing on 2X runs smoothly and in two colors (and even material).

In a press release from MakerBot Pettis says that "there are many fans of ABS, which would like to stay with this material, although it is quite a complicated process for the continuous use."

Replicator 2X will cost 2799 dollars and will allow resolution of up to 100 microns. It can be ordered to be at the end of this month.
